Thomas D. Shirley (Tom) was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Churchill High School and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986.
Tom and his lovely wife Kimberly have lived in New Braunfels since they were married in 1996. The couple has two children and they are actively involved in their local community and in their church.
Thomas D. Shirley Appraisal Company was founded in 1999, in New Braunfels, Texas. Prior to establishing his own business, Tom gained valuable experience in the fields of residential construction, consumer lending, and real estate sales and appraising.
Since entering the real estate industry in 1993, Tom has completed over 500 hours of real estate related courses and seminars. While working as a Realtor, Tom earned the GRI Designation from the Texas Association of Realtors. Tom is a Texas State Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser and holds the MRA Designation from National Association of Master Appraisers as well as the RAA Designation from the National Association of Realtors. In 2000, Tom was added to the HUD Roster of FHA Appraisers. In 2003, Tom completed the process of upgrading his Real Estate Salesperson's License to that of a Real Estate Broker.
Although specializing in appraisal services tailored to the needs of mortgage lenders, Tom also services the real estate appraisal needs of banks, attorneys, realtors and individuals.
